Strengthen profitability \u2013 no half measures<\/h2>\n<p>Liquidity buys you time, but is not a sustainable solution. To survive effectively, you need to consistently improve your profitability \u2013 both on the revenue and cost side.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Revenue:<\/strong> Work your market in a targeted and critical way:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 How many offers does your sales department issue?<br \/>\u2022 What is the order loss rate?<br \/>\u2022 Which salesmen generate real contribution margins?<\/p>\n<p>An example: A company paid sales representatives high fixed wages. The episode? During the crisis, the intensity of acquisitions decreased. With a revised compensation structure, we were able to significantly increase the acquisition intensity and closing rate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Costs:<\/strong> Proceed structurally:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Which production sectors are not competitive?<br \/>\u2022 Which products generate losses?<\/p>\n<p>In one case, a company was desperate to keep a high-revenue product group \u2013 but the margin analysis showed that it delivered minimal contribution margins.
